Courts of appeal are responsible for reconsidering the rulings issued by the courts of first instance, after hearing the statements of the opponents in accordance with the procedures established in the Sharia Procedures System and the Criminal Procedures System. The jurisdiction of the Courts of Appeal is limited to adjudicating requests seeking reconsideration of the rulings issued by them.
